The "Inspiring Bandits Award," a community-driven program that provides scholarships and experiences to graduating high school girls and boys student-athletes competing at the BC School Sports Basketball Provincial Championships. The award will recognize three senior girls and three senior boys student-athletes who are amongst the top performing players at the annual provincial championships.

In addition to a $1,000 scholarship, each recipient will be connected with representatives from the Vancouver Bandits Professional Basketball Club’s coaching and front office staff to receive opportunities for mentorship, skill development and internships.

A successful award recipient will exhibit:

On-court offensive statistical excellence
Defensive grit and perseverance
Strong, positive relationships with peers, parents and coaching staff
A focus on sportsmanship and camaraderie
A commitment or intention to play post-secondary basketball

Disclaimer: In addition to the information above, the all-star and scholarship committee will consider the performance of the student-athlete at the BC School Sports Basketball Provincial Championships.

The student-athlete will receive the $1,000 bursary once proof of 1st semester post-secondary enrollment is provided to the Bandits Community Foundation.

All other benefits would start immediately after the BC School Sports Basketball Provincial Championships.
