The "Inspiring Bandits Award," a community-driven program that provides a scholarship and ongoing mentorship to graduating high school girls and boys student-athletes competing at the BC School Sports Basketball Provincial Championships.

 

The award will recognize one senior girl and one senior boy student-athlete who are the top performing players at the annual provincial championships. 
 
In addition to a $1,000 scholarship, each recipient will be connected with representatives from the Vancouver Bandits’ coaching and front office staff as part of a continuous mentorship, skill development program throughout their post-secondary career.

A successful award recipient will exhibit:

• On-court offensive statistical excellence 

• Defensive grit and perseverance

• Strong, positive relationships with peers, parents and coaching staff

• A focus on sportsmanship and camaraderie

• A commitment or intention to play post-secondary basketball
